Renaud Chabrier

drawing, movement and animation

I work on the relation between drawing, mouvement and perception by the means of digital animation techniques like morphing, as well as traditionnal approaches. This website shows different researches that are now applied to scientific transmission in domains such as cell biology, biophysics, archeology, matter science, art history and neurosciences.

News: the short film "Birth of a brain" is now online in english. Discover neurodevelopment starting from the very beginning of a child's life... (sept 17 2016)

My work on the relation between drawing and science will be shown in Greater Taipei Biennal of Contemporary Art (Taiwan, November 4, 2016 to January 14, 2017). More informations soon!

"Leonardo da Vinci - Motion pictures" is a short animation movie directed for Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie for the exhibition "Léonard de Vinci, projets, dessins, machines"

"La Dernière Cérémonie" is a large scale model of a gallic sanctuary with projected animations, also designed for Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie.

Books for children

Fiction documentary, color albums, black and white illustrations for novels and short stories.

Depending of the topic, I can work as illustrator and/or author.

Those drawings of living (and moving) characters can be a complement or an alternative to photography for reports.
